Prof. Yukun Zhang

Shandong University of Science and Technology, China

Biography:

Yukun Zhang is a Level A talent under the "Elite Program" at Shandong University of Science and Technology, serving as a doctoral supervisor. He is the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Marine Energy and Geotechnical Engineering in Qingdao and the deputy director of the Collaborative Center for Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Technology in Marine Energy. He is a committee member of the Offshore and Coastal Engineering Special Committee of the Chinese Seismological Society, a member of the Resilient Disaster Reduction and Emergency Special Committee of the Chinese Geophysical Society, and a member of the Engineering Safety and Protection Special Committee of the Shandong Railway Transportation Society. His main research areas include marine energy geotechnical engineering and foundation engineering. He has hosted 2 projects from the National Natural Science Foundation and 4 provincial and ministerial-level projects. He has published 90 research and teaching papers (including 56 SCI/EI papers), holds 10 authorized invention patents and software copyrights, and has received several awards, including the Second Prize for Teaching Achievements in Shandong Province, the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievements from the China Ocean Engineering Consulting Association, recognition as an Outstanding Graduate Supervisor in Shandong Province, and an Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award in Shandong Province.

Prof. Chuanzhi Cui

China University of Petroleum (East China), China

Biography:

Chuanzhi Cui, male, born in January 1970, from Qingzhou, Shandong Province, holds a PhD, is a professor, and serves as a master's supervisor. He graduated with a PhD from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) in June 2005. He works in the Department of Reservoir Engineering at the School of Petroleum Engineering, focusing primarily on teaching and research in oil and gas field development engineering. His main research areas include the theory and development technology of shale oil seepage, enhanced oil recovery theories and techniques for reservoirs with extremely high water cut, efficient development technology for low-permeability reservoirs, big data application technologies in oilfields, and carbon dioxide enhanced oil recovery and storage technologies. He serves as a reviewer for several Chinese journals including "Journal of Petroleum," "Petroleum Drilling Technology," "Xinjiang Petroleum Geology," and "China Science and Technology Papers Online," as well as international journals such as "Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering," "Journal of Petroleum and Gas Engineering," and "Fractals."

Prof. Mohamed Ismail

Brunel London School North China University of Technology, China

Biography:

Prof. Ismail is currently working at Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Brunel London School North China University of Technology, Beijing, China since Sept. 2023. Before that, he was working as a full professor at Dept. of Civil Engineering, Miami College of Henan University, Kaifeng, China from October 2018 until Aug. 2023. Before joining Miami College, Prof. Ismail was working as an Associate Professor at Civil and Construction Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering and Science, Curtin University Malaysia, Sarawak, Malaysia. He received his B. Sc. and M. Sc. Degrees from Alexandria University, Egypt in 1991 and 1996, respectively and his PhD from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2003. Prof. Ismail teaches undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering Materials, Concrete Technology, Engineering Mechanics, Reinforced Concrete Structural Design, Engineering and Environmental Principles and Theories, Construction Management, Concrete Laboratory, Mechanics of Solids, Structural Analysis and Fluid mechanics. For graduate students, he teaches courses in Advanced Concrete Technology and Advanced Structural Analysis. His research work includes Concrete Technology, Smart Materials in Construction, High Performance Concrete, Durability of Concrete, NDT, Arc Thermal Metal Spray Technology, Sustainable Building Materials and Protection Methods of Reinforced Concrete Structures. Prof. Ismail has extensive teaching and research experiences over 25 years in Canada, South Korea, Malaysia, Egypt, Japan and China. He also had broad experience at Engineering Consultancies and Oil & Gas Firms. Prof. Ismail has published more than 120 papers in referred Journals and International Conferences and 5 Books. He served as a reviewer for many International Journals, Editorial Board Member of few journals and Editor-in-chief of Challenge Journal of Concrete research letters.
